Accountants for Bromley clients
We do tax returns, bookkeeping and payroll for sole traders, landlords and small companies across the borough. Meet us at our Croydon office, which you can reach by tram or on the 119 bus, or on a video call.
We work with sole traders, landlords, contractors and small limited companies across the London Borough of Bromley, from Beckenham and Penge to Orpington and Chislehurst. We have no office in Bromley itself. Our nearest office is in Croydon, at AMP House on Dingwall Road, a short walk from East Croydon station.
From the Beckenham Junction, Avenue Road and Elmers End tram stops, trams run straight to East Croydon. Bus 119 runs from Bromley North and Bromley South through Hayes, West Wickham and Shirley to East Croydon station. If London Bridge suits you better, Southeastern trains from Hayes, West Wickham and Elmers End run to London Bridge, where our second office is, in The News Building.
You do not have to visit. We can do the whole job by video call, email and phone, in English, Russian or Romanian. Meetings in person are by appointment, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
Four services for businesses and households in the borough.
For sole traders, landlords and anyone with income that HMRC does not tax at source. If you start trading, you must register by 5 October after the end of that tax year. Online returns and any tax owed are due by 31 January. We prepare the return, go through it with you and file it.
We record your sales, purchases and payments each month and check them against your bank statements. Your VAT returns and year-end accounts then start from figures that already reconcile.
You must register for VAT once your taxable turnover goes over £90,000 in any 12-month period. We register you, file your quarterly returns through Making Tax Digital software and check the figures before they go.
Payslips, RTI submissions to HMRC every payday, and your auto-enrolment duties as an employer.
Tell us what you need and we'll come back with a clear, fixed-fee quote. No jargon and no obligation to go ahead.

Three things that affect businesses and landlords in the borough.
The London Borough of Bromley bills business rates for premises in the borough. It also runs small business rate relief for the government, and you apply on the council's own form. If you trade from a shop, office or unit, check your bill and ask us if you are not sure whether you qualify.
Most of the borough has BR1 to BR7 postcodes, and Penge is SE20. BR8 (Swanley) is also a BR postcode, but Swanley is in Kent, in Sevenoaks District. Business rates there are billed by Sevenoaks District Council, not Bromley.
Since 6 April 2026, sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 have had to keep digital records and send quarterly updates to HMRC. The threshold falls to £30,000 in April 2027 and £20,000 in April 2028. We set up the software and send the updates for you.
Some people need full bookkeeping for a company. Others need one tax return a year. We do both.

The London Borough of Bromley. It bills business rates across the borough and deals with applications for small business rate relief, which you make on the council's form. If your postcode is BR8 (Swanley), your premises are in Kent and Sevenoaks District Council bills your rates.
Yes. You register with HMRC, not the council, so the rules are the same across the UK. If you start trading, you must register for Self Assessment by 5 October after the end of the tax year in which you started. If your trading income is £1,000 or less in a tax year, the trading allowance usually means you do not need to register. We can register you, set up simple records and file your first return.
It depends on your qualifying income, which is your self-employment and property income added together, before expenses. Since 6 April 2026, MTD for Income Tax has applied above £50,000. The threshold falls to £30,000 from April 2027 and £20,000 from April 2028. If you are close to a threshold, we can check your figures and set you up with software.
No. You can work with us entirely by video call, email and phone. Send your documents by email and we will talk them through on a call. If you would rather meet, we can see you in Croydon or at London Bridge, Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm.
