Tax returns for landlords, PAYE refunds, company accounts and payroll for people and businesses in Purley. Meet us in Croydon or at London Bridge, both a direct train ride away, or by video call.
We can help if you rent out property, run a small limited company or think you have paid too much tax through PAYE. For landlords, we prepare Self Assessment returns that include rental income. For employees, we check tax codes and claim refunds. For companies, we look after year-end accounts, Corporation Tax and payroll.
We have no office in Purley. Our Croydon office is at AMP House on Dingwall Road, a short walk from East Croydon station. Southern and Thameslink trains run direct from Purley to East Croydon in 5 to 11 minutes, depending on the stops. Direct trains also run from Purley to London Bridge, where our second office is, in The News Building.
Meetings are by appointment, Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm, in person or on a video call. You can speak to us in English, Russian or Romanian.
Start with one of these, or ask us about anything else on our services page.
We prepare Self Assessment returns that include your rental income, work out allowable costs such as letting agent fees, repairs and insurance, and file online before 31 January.
If your tax code was wrong, you changed jobs mid-year or you paid for work expenses yourself, you may have paid too much tax. We check your payslips and P60 and claim the refund from HMRC.
Year-end accounts for Companies House and the Corporation Tax return for HMRC. Corporation Tax is due 9 months and 1 day after your year end, and we give you the figure before then.
Payslips, Real Time Information submissions to HMRC and auto-enrolment duties, including for companies where the director is the only employee.
Tell us what you need and we'll come back with a clear, fixed-fee quote. No jargon and no obligation to go ahead.

Three points for businesses and landlords in CR8.
Purley has a Business Improvement District, run by Purley BID. Businesses inside its boundary pay a yearly BID levy on top of the business rates billed by Croydon Council. If you are taking on premises in the town centre, check the BID's area map and include the levy in your costs.
Rent counts towards the Making Tax Digital threshold for Income Tax. If your gross income from property and self-employment together is over £50,000, quarterly digital updates apply from 6 April 2026. The threshold falls to £30,000 in April 2027 and £20,000 in April 2028.
If your last Self Assessment bill was £1,000 or more, HMRC usually asks for two advance payments towards the next year's tax, on 31 January and 31 July. This can come as a surprise in the first year of letting a property. We show you the amounts early so you can set the money aside.

Answers for landlords, employees and company directors in Purley.
Yes, by appointment. Our Croydon office at AMP House, Dingwall Road, is a short walk from East Croydon, and direct trains from Purley take 5 to 11 minutes. Our London Bridge office in The News Building is under half an hour away by direct Southern or Thameslink train. If you prefer, we can meet by video call.
Yes, if your rental income is more than £1,000 a year before expenses. Usually you report it on a Self Assessment return, filed online by 31 January after the end of the tax year. If you have not registered yet, the deadline is 5 October after the tax year in which the rent started. We work out your allowable costs and file the return.
In many cases, yes. Common causes are an emergency tax code, a job change part-way through the year, or work expenses your employer did not repay. We review your payslips and P60 and make the claim to HMRC. You can claim for up to four previous tax years.
Purley BID publishes a map of its area on its website. If your premises are inside it, you may pay the BID levy as well as your business rates to Croydon Council. We include both in your budget and your accounts.
Letting agent fees, repairs, insurance, ground rent, service charges and accountancy fees are usually allowable. Mortgage interest on a residential let works differently. You cannot deduct it, but you get a tax credit worth 20% of it. Improvements, such as an extension, are not allowable against rent. We sort the costs for you when we prepare the return.
